Our Mission:

A cultural center for the Upper Valley region, Lebanon Opera House:

  • presents live performances that inspire, educate and entertain,
  • broadens cultural horizons by spotlighting a diversity of local, national, and international artists,
  • encourages community participation in the arts, and
  • stewards a special gathering place for community and school use that will engender future arts patrons and participants.

The Benefits of Underwriting

Your underwriting support:

  • Provides tax-deductible support of a valued and vital community resource—LOH’s fully renovated, state-of-the-art theater.
  • Helps subsidize ticket revenues that only pay for 50-60% of the cost of producing a performance.
  • Entitles you to 6 or more of the best seats in the house for your underwritten show(s).
  • Creates an opportunity for you to host a pre-performance reception for your employees and/or valued clients, or a post-show backstage meet & greet session with the artist(s).
  • Helps us keep ticket prices affordable.
  • Builds confidence for LOH programs, enabling us to promote shows to wider audiences in advance.
  • Provides your employees with the benefit of seeing your underwritten performance(s), either at a discount or for free by participating as ushers.
  • Enables us to fund our Youth Education Series (YES!), the Opera House’s new Arts Education program, including workshops, master classes and other school and community outreach events.
  • Subsidizes “Operation Open Invitation to the Arts,” providing local social and human service agencies with complimentary tickets, opening the door to a wondrous world of music, theater and dance that had previously been closed.
  • We strive to maximize advertising exposure for your business. In addition to receiving direct patron visibility on show nights your underwriting entitles you to appear in LOH’s
    • Website—www.lebanonoperahouse.org. Our online box office experiences over 13,000 visits each month. Underwriter sites can easily be linked to pages featuring their sponsored show.
    • Season brochure mailed to over 13,000 households in New Hampshire and Vermont.
    • Season playbill distributed to over 12,000 patrons.
    • Newspaper display ads in the Valley News, Connecticut Valley Spectator, Vermont Standard and others.
  • Timely email bulletins announcing your underwritten performance 7 – 10 days prior to the show, mailed electronically to over 3,000 of LOH’s most active patrons.
  • 120 posters displayed throughout the Upper Valley.
  • Radio advertisements on regional stations.

To be included in our primary marketing publication—our season brochure—commitments are typically confirmed by June 1st.

Underwriting commitments are first-come first-served. The sooner we know of your preference, the better chance we have of aligning you with your preferred show.

Underwriting pledges aren’t due until the underwritten show occurs and may be paid in installments if preferred.
