LIGHTING CONTROL:
108 in-house dimmers: We have an ETC 48 rack rated at 2.4k/ ch. We just added an
ETC sensor 12-pack and a new 48 rack. This gives us a total of 108 usable dimmers.
These dimmers service 137 circuits which are hard wired, or in multi format. As you will see in the following section (power on stage) we do not have the electrical resources to handle more dimmers. It is necessary to realize this and plan to adapt you plot to these specifications. Though rental of additional dimmers is possible we do not have the electrical service to make them practical. We use GPC (3Pin) for all connectors.
Lights are controlled by an ETC Impression Board with 6 x 24 submasters. Focus points for front of house are in the ceiling. Stage and box positions are done from ladders. Electrics on stage and front of stage truss can be focused from an A-Frame.
POWER FOR STAGE:
The stage power is housed in a basement room with the dimmer units. It provides for an ABSOLUTE MAXIMIM of 400 AMPS. Although we can add extra dimmers through rental units there is not a lot of extra amperage to go around. It is important for you to plan your lighting needs with this in mind. If you require more than 200Amps for your lighting system we can not accommodate you with a "Company Switch" type arrangement for powering your own dimmer racks.
SOUND:
Our house system consists of a Yamaha 32 channel mixing console with ETA processor, Roland graphic equalizer and Yamaha delay and reverb units; 4 Yamaha S1121V speaker wedges; 2 Yamaha SW1181V subwoofers and 6 Peavey monitors; selection of Sure mics 4-SM 58s; 3-SM81s; 2-SM849s; also 2 crown PZMs. We have three amps ranging from 200W to 900W. We are equipped to play cassette tapes or CD's through the house system. For artists with major sound needs we have several sound companies which work with the house. We simply need to know your requirements.
ORCHESTRA PIT:
There is no pit per se. We set up a baffle system on the floor in front of the stage and remove rows of chairs. We have accommodated up to 36 piece orchestras for opera performances. The baffle walls are @3'6" tall. We have stands and stand lights as well as chairs. There are a Technics electric keyboard with weighted action etc. and a Yamaha upright for use on the floor and a grand piano on stage. The floor in front of the stage is carpeted in the area we use as a pit.
ACCESS TO THE STAGE:
There is a freight elevator, which connects direct to the stage. It can handle most standard size road boxes etc. It is 9' door to door and rated for 5000 lbs. There is also be a 10'x10' loading door at @12' above ground which we reach with a fork lift for loads too big for the elevator. The real restriction on load in is the door from the elevator lobby to the stage. It is 7'4" wide and 9'2" high. If your set has extra large pieces please contact us.
This is not a union house. We arrange crews to suit your requirements from local people with varying degrees of theater experience. All are workers we feel will do the job right and as quickly as possible. Ken Munsey has extensive experience with all aspects of theater, and will be in charge of the crew requirements.
DRESSING ROOMS:
Our newly renovated Green Room has four dressing rooms suitable for two or three people each. It also has two showers and three toilets. There is a laundry space and kitchenette adjacent to the lounge area. Down one flight from the green room are two larger dressing rooms with showers and toilets to accommodate 12 - 20 people. A small locking room can serve as a road office and/or secure space. Dry cleaning is available within a mile of the theater.
Hospitals are: Alice Peck Day three miles from the theater and the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital @ the same distance. Both have orthopedic departments. Dr. W. Myric Wood (GP) has residence and office directly across the green from the theater.
The state of New Hampshire prohibits smoking in all public buildings. City Hall in which the theater is located, is such a building. Smoke or smoke effects on stage are O.K. and there is no smoke alarm system to worry about. Ventilation of the house is not great, so large amounts of Rosco fog may pose a problem to the audience. CO2 fog and Haze effects don't seem to be as much of a problem.
There are several dining options within a short walk of the venue. Three Tomatoes Trattoria's Italian cuisine has been a consistently delicious & popular staple among LOH patrons for years. Peking-Tokyo at the end of the Lebanon pedestrian mall offers award-winning Chinese and Japanese (including sushi) selections. Lebanon Village Pizza (located in the same Pavilion as Peking-Tokyo) has reasonably priced salads, pasta, sandwiches and pizza. Salt Hill Pub & Café offers excellent sandwiches and light refreshment with an Irish flair, both before and after performances. There are countless other places to eat if you have a bit of time to travel.
